Nicky Brendon’s Not Your Typically Average Meet & Greet – *Chicago (IL)* – POSTPONED
The Chicago Meet & Greet was being co-hosted by VampCon Chicago which is being postponed. This means we no longer have a co-host or a venue on the original date and with the event only a week away it would be difficult to pull something together. At this time, we aren’t sure if Nicky will be available on the rescheduled VampCon date but will let everyone know as soon as we do. However, Nicky’s Meet & Greet Tour is continuing at least through the end of the year and he will be back in the Chicago area around late November or early December.
Current ticket holders have been updated by email. If you are still interested in attending and haven’t purchased your tickets yet, we are extending the sale price until the new event date is confirmed.

A memorable experience for any Nicky and Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan! A real chance to chat, get a hug, take photos, get memorabilia signed (or choose from one of his photos!), and ask all the questions you’ve always wanted to ask…nothing is off limits! Prepare yourself for a evening hanging with Nicky and other fans in a relaxed, judgement-free zone where everyone is welcome…. Except attendance is limited (25-30 on average) so don’t procrastinate!
IT’S NOT YOUR TYPICALLY AVERAGE MEET & GREET! No long lines, no big crowds, and you spend the entire time of the event in the company of Nicky (minus smoke breaks)… Also note he is 100% authentic, unscripted, uncensored, and spontaneous, not for the faint of heart. Child Pricing
We offer special pricing for children and teens at venues that are open to all ages. The ticket prices are valid for one child accompanied by an adult.
Although we try to be mindful of the presence of children, the occasional cuss word does slip out. Also in most cases we will be watching one or two episodes of television (usually the Buffy musical and one other) that might be considered mature in content. Please use best parental judgement in deciding if the event is age appropriate for your child.
- Valid for same length of stay as accompanying adult (event or event/after party)
- No autograph or selfie included but can share with accompanying adult
- Additional autographs and selfies are available to purchase online or at the event
In most cases we will be watching one or two episodes of television (usually the Buffy musical, “Once More, with Feeling”, wins the vote and possibly one additional episode or film) which may contain mature subject matter.
Please keep in mind that Nicky is a creative person and the majority of the event is casual in nature and meant to feel like a gathering of friends. In addition to the scheduled activities, the night could include spontaneous singing/karaoke, original poetry, creative art, photography, and improv acting or writing. This material is not rehearsed and due to its spontaneous nature, it isn’t edited.
Photography and filming is allowed during the event. We ask you to use your best judgement before sharing publicly. Please note that photographs and footage will be taken throughout the Meet & greet. These may be used by Slightly Askew LLC for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website and in social media or in any third party publication. Please contact us if you have any concerns or if you wish to be exempted from this activity.
TRIGGER WARNING! Nicky would never say anything to intentionally trigger someone or hurt their feelings however some Q&A and After Party content may contain sensitive subject matters. Nicky is also a survivor of abuse and PTSD with triggers of his own. Nicky is an American actor, writer, and producer best known for playing Xander Harris in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003) and Kevin Lynch in Criminal Minds (2007-2014). Nicky lives with depression and tours the country meeting with fans, raising awareness, and candidly sharing experiences to try to fight the stigma of mental illness. He was recently named a “Mental Health Hero” by The Mighty for giving his fans a space to connect and talk about mental health. Depression not required to attend event!
